q.f.c. uses film as an artifact of time to map the queer collective unconscious.
q.f.c. held a summer residency at the 100-year old Art Theatre Long Beach, the last remaining independent art cinema in Long Beach. Monthly screenings were free to attend, most known for its lively discussion that takes place afterward. Q.F.C. was a proud community partner of the Queer Rhapsody Film Series, organized by the UCLA Film & Television Archive, at American Cinematheque, Vidiots, and the Hammer Museum. The occassional film salon now programs for partners, most recently Human Resources Los Angeles.
q.f.c. focused on queer indie media from throughout the decades, programming around monthly themes that covered queer film movements, identity and representation, class consciousness, decolonizing love, action films and transness, and more.
